SHOWS & PROGRAMS
I’m an act who can do a completely visual version of my material for international guests, or a version which has English humor segues from scene to scene but is also appreciated by guests who have a limited understanding of English. I am based an hour from the international cruise terminal in Portland, Maine and the Portland Jetport (PWM). I’m also located within driving distance of 5 New England and Canadian ports-of-call.

REHEARSAL & TECH RIDER
• Band: No band rehearsal required. All material is performed to audio tracks.
• Rehearsals: Technical rehearsal for the main show needs about 90 minutes for lights and sound. There are 7 or 8 scenes (“looks”) with transitions that need programming. The split show rehearsal needs about 60 minutes for lights and sound with 3 or 4 scenes (“looks”). When possible, Michael likes the technical rehearsal early in the day rather than later in the afternoon.
• Tech Needs: A wireless handheld mike on a stand, a chair for audience participation, one additional microphone stand, a UV wash (for one juggling number only), and a stage hand to help simple placement and striking of props. If the theater is equipped with projection and side-screens, a dvd is available to display graphics while people are finding their seats to build anticipation for the performance. There is also a video introduction to the show with an audio introduction pre-recorded.
INSURANCE
• *Professional Liability Insurance (Specialty Insurance Agency)
(*Available on board.)
TRAVEL & LOGISTICS
IMPORTANT: MY EQUIPMENT NEEDS TO ARRIVE IN ORDER TO DO THE SHOW! PLEASE TAKE CARE IN BOOKING THE TRAVEL WITH ENOUGH TIME BETWEEN FLIGHTS FOR THE BAGGAGE TO MAKE THE CONNECTIONS. FLYING IN THE DAY BEFORE AND OVERNIGHTING WHENEVER POSSIBLE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. PLEASE NOTE THAT FIVE PORTS IN NEW ENGLAND AND CANADA ARE WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE OF MY HOME BASE.
• Home Airport: Portland, Maine, USA (PWM) or Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Boston often makes more sense if traveling abroad because flights depart directly to Europe and return to Boston. Concord Trailways offers bus service directly to and from the terminals from Portland, Maine for $45 round trip which takes 2 hours (less time than connecting flights at other gateways).
• Drive-To Ports: Portland, Bar Harbor, Boston, Quebec City and Saint John, NB. (Renting a car is always an option, or embarking and disembarking in these ports which saves on flights, transfers and the risk of delayed luggage.)
• Schedule: Please let me know if a show is expected on the same day I’m embarking the vessel.
• Current Travel Documents: US Passport, 10 Year Tourist Visas for Brazil & China, Seaman’s Book (Bahamas)
• Baggage: 2 checked bags (2 are road cases) + 2 carry ons. (transfers by small van preferred to a taxi.)
• Current Immunizations: Yellow Fever (December, 2009)
